The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is the first global sustainable seafood certification program to achieve recognition from the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI), confirming it meets international requirements for credibility and rigor.
The MSC program considers the environmental sustainability of wild capture fisheries. In order to process, package and sell MSC certified seafood, supply chain companies must be certified to the MSC Chain of Custody Standard.
